Country Trees in Bloom

 blooming trees

I’m so happy that spring is truly here. When the dogwoods and red bud trees blossom, I feel yet again, that I’m living in a little bit of heaven on earth.

spring blossoms on the trees
The white blossoms seem so bright in contrast to the dark woods behind them.

Midnight enjoys the morning MIdnight

I decided to take a few photos of this short moment as the blossoms will give way to leaves before you know it. Midnight, Rebekah’s cat loves the early morning coolness too.. I thought I’d get a couple of pictures of her too while I was at it.

She’s probably out bird watching. The birds flock to our pond every spring and she has, sadly, eaten more than a few.

Christian took photos of the pear tree in bloom.

Camilla bushes

The camelia bush is in full bloom..and fading, I’m afraid. Her ‘act’ is over.

But these bushes have just bloomed in all their stunning beauty only this week!  I’m amazed at how carefully planned the flowering plants have been arranged in our yard. I didn’t plant these bushes.
They were here when we bought the property.

How someone must miss their flowering bushes and trees! We will have new plants blooming, one after, the other in a glorious procession.

Bushes up close

After these white bushes..will come the azaleas..then the crepe myrtles..one by one..and finally the wildflowers will fill the pasture.

It’s a lovely ‘show’ every year!  How about you? What's blooming in your backyard? I'd love to see it, so feel free to post a picture via a thumbnail linky here. :o)
