Will you join me for Show & Tell?

Do you like these candlesticks? My daughter-in-law, Elisabeth, taught me how to paint glass and I had a grand time! I was attempting to match some very colorful Mexican style dishes. So I made a few smudges..I'm still so proud of them!!  I have to say, her painted glass items were way better, but I don't have a pix to share with you just yet.
A beautiful homemade Christmas card from my 'grandsons' with a lot of help from a very talented daughter-in-law, Amanda, I suspect. :o)

I don't know about you, but Show and Tell  was always my favorite day of the week at school when I was a girl. I absolutely loved that day--the anticipation was almost more than I could bear! I never ever ran out of things to show or things to talk about. (Poor Mom!)

One of the things I most miss about living in Sugar Land, Tx. was taking my latest project to quilt bee at Quilt Impressions.  There was nothing that meant more to me than the praise of the talented ladies in that bee. It was these ladies who voted for my Route 66 quilt and I felt I had really done something special, if they thought I had done well.
A homemade gift from my daughter, Rebekah, who already sews almost as well as I do. I treasure this more than words can ever say! She made the heart pillow design all by herself when she was 10.

I want to show a few things that my family have made for me over the last few years and tell you a bit about them, but I also want to see some things that YOU, my readers, have made! Half the fun of Show and Tell is seeing the beauty of your friends' work.  I don't care whether it's your first efforts or you are very talented, I'd just love to see what you've been up to and give you a few kudos!
A painted decorative bottle which was a gift from my daughter-in-law, Elisabeth, the year she married my son, Andrew.  I'm so blessed with creative daughters-in-law!

I'd like to designate Friday as "Show and Tell" day.  If you would like me to post a picture of your latest creation regardless of your medium, just send me a photo (no bigger than 400mgs please) and a link to your blog (if you have one) to homemaking@eastex.net and I'll post it. Then we can ooh and aahh  together! Won't that be fun?!!  Now, if you don't send me anything, I'll just have to brag on my own stuff..and won't that be dull....
I'd really like to bring back the fun of the old school day favorite...Show and Tell.  Won't you join me?

PS. Thank you so much, Shona, for the photography tips and blogging advice. :o)
