The spring rains finally arrived…albeit a little later than usual.....
The wildflowers that we thought we'd missed, decided to show up after all…
Arrayed in a most glorious splendor!
Hubby and I took a walk in the blessedly cooler spring weather…
brought on by the end of the crazy weather pattern that caused so much rain in the north, and drought all across the south.
We were beginning to think the rains that are so normal in Southeast Texas would never return!
I brought my camera along, hoping to find at least a few remaining wildflowers.
How delighted I was to find a few stunning blossoms left!
Some of these are so unusual, that I have no idea what they are…
but I do know that some are typical of our woods…
I can’t help but think of the description in the book of Matthew describing the lilies of the field…
Even Solomon in all his splendor…
was not arrayed like one of these…
