Here’s the pretty quilt block I’m working on and will send on Monday.

It isn’t finished because of some really BIG NEWS…..

I was busily quilting away when I found out that in four days, my son, Andrew, and wife, Elisabeth, and grandkids, Lena and August, will be moving to Seattle..this Saturday ! That’s 2200 miles away! :o)

I knew Andrew had gotten the job (Hurrah!)  but thought they weren't moving for two weeks. But that’s when he STARTS. So they had to get their house ready to rent..get packed up..and get an apartment arranged in ..fast!

augy plays

Well…I didn’t sleep at all..last night, and cried a rather big weep when it hit me that my dear kids and grandkids were going to be VERY far away….

And then, of course, I wiped my eyes, and rolled up my sleeves to help them get off.. :o)

On the bright side, the grandbabies are sleeping at my house tonight while Ebeth and Andrew work on cleaning up an almost empty house….  I’ll help paint tomorrow…

Lena

And then Dear Hubby will drive with them to help tag team drive up to Seattle. He grew up there and will be showing them around the area and helping them get settled. We have lots of family there, and Elisabeth’s brother from Germany lives in Canada and will be only two hours away! So we  know we are sending the kids off into good hands. :o)  (If they have to move somewhere, at least it's to a town with family there. I'm so happy about that!!)

Little feet

But no more sounds of little feet … sniff..sniff…

Who knows?  Maybe…we will follow them…in a couple of years. I promised Tim I’d let him go home someday..and he has been stuck here in Texas for 23 years now. :o)

August

Praying for a safe journey…and glad my son has a really GREAT job and that my dear DIL Ebeth will be only two hours from her brother.

They are good kids…and quite capable.
