Tumbled Marble Backsplash
Is Tumbled marble backsplash in a kitchen a bad idea?
Some say that tumbled marbled backsplash in a kitchen is a nightmare as the mess from food will stain the stones. But as long as they are well sealed, and any spillages cleaned up rather than left, staining should not generally be a problem.
If you do get any serious spillages of acidic materials on your tumbled marble, travertone or slate backsplash, like an oil or wine stain, probably the best thing is a good steam clean, as that will usually get rid of almost any stain, and a steam cleaner is easy to buy or rent these days.
With Tumbled Marble and any absorbent stone its just a case of being careful, and ensuring that your backsplash tiles are properly sealed with a good sealing product right after installation.
